What is Round Up – Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School’s (OLOL) annual Round Gala & Auction is the school’s BIGGEST fundraiser and community building event of the school year. Only adults 21+ may attend. Proceeds from this event make possible the outstanding academic and character formation education provided for our students in kindergarten through eighth grade. In addition to the core curriculum, OLOL offers instruction in Religion, Computer Science & Engineering, Spanish, Music, Art, Foreign Language & World Cultures, and Physical Education. Tuition does not cover the entire cost of educating our students. More than 70% of students receive some amount of financial assistance.
What happens at the Round Up – The evening consists of a cocktail/appetizer reception and silent auction beginning at 5:30pm. The silent auction includes the class baskets and donations from some of the most popular restaurant, retail, athletic, and entertainment businesses throughout the Salt Lake Valley!
Silent auction tables close between 7:00 and 7:25pm. At 7:00pm the doors open to the dining hall. By 7:30pm all guests should be in the dining hall for dinner and the live auction. The live auction includes the class projects, trips and unique items/experiences. You can purchase drink tickets/unlimited drink wristbands at the event throughout the evening.

What are Opportunity Tickets – Opportunity tickets are sold by the students of our school. There are many individual, class and school-wide incentives for students who sell opportunity tickets. They cost $5 per sheet of 6 tickets (individual tickets will not be sold) and give the buyer an opportunity to be entered into a drawing the night of Round Up. Two winners will be chosen, and each will win $500 cash. Winners do not need to be present to win.

Parties are available for purchase online starting a few weeks before Round Up. Parties that do not sell out can be purchased the night of the event. Party hosts may submit their expenses for a donation receipt.
What are Class Baskets – Class baskets are organized by classroom representatives with donated items/funds contributed by class parents. They vary in theme and are sold in our Silent Auction.
What are Class Projects – Classroom projects are a collaborative project which each student takes part in creating. They can be a piece of artwork, furniture, etc. The class projects are sold in our Live Auction and often go for top dollar.
What is the Student Artwork Section – Our fabulous Art teacher, Ms. Trujillo, has every student create a work of art based on the Round Up theme and using the technique and style of a master artist they have studied. The art is framed, and guests may purchase at Round Up to take home.
